Zurich, Switzerland was part of the Dada movement. Its name originates with the Celtics.

Lewis the German had his castle built in Zurich, Switzerland; he is responsible for the Fraumunster Abbey.

 

Rudolf Brun created the Zunftordnung and was Zurich’s first mayor.

The city was part of the Old Zurich War.

 

Among Zurich’s famous people are Richard Wagner, Kurt Tucholsky, Lenin, Albert Einstein and Thomas Mann. Others include Johann Lavater, Gottfried Keller and Johanna Spyri.
